I wouldn't recommend the book "The Long Tail" -- the article in Wired magazine written by the same author that is pre-dated the book is a much simpler/shorter read and clear enough to completely get the concept. Everyone should definitely read the article though :):

I agree. With all of it, and thanks, Christie. I'm right now the designated "social media expert" at The Day Job. It's like, duh. But hard sell to people who still think twitter is what birds do.

I REALLy enjoyed Scott's talk. Lot's of really interesting information. I was glad to hear I'm doing a lot of the things he suggested, but there was still a lot to learn, that I hadn't even thought about.
