The OTHER Pat

Hey - she can still get a coat!

Rinalia

Very nice! My pit bull now wishes she was a sighthound! :)

We *heart* Houndtogs. Excellent choice for Kyrie. 3 of us are still modeling one of the offered styles on the website.

EmilyS

yeah, I'm with retrieverman on the irony.

But also with Christie on the desire.

I think she needs a raincoat even better to chase down wolves in high fashion. The pampered pet warms my heart and what better way to go than a spiffy raincoat. My dog household solves the wet fur problem by not venturing out in the rain but as a fashion statement, I can think of no better way to go while walking about town in a drizzle preferably with reflectors sewed on in just the right places.

straybaby

Very stylish!

That's similar to the style I make for my Dal. Rear coverage is very import when the wind chills hit the single digits, according to her ;)

Kristen

It's a lovely classic look!

This post made me crack up as I had just watched the Snuggie for pet parody right before coming here! lol...

warning---a little raunchy..

So ironic that the breed that once ran down wolves on the frozen steppes of Russia now needs a raincoat.

Christie Keith

LOL, "needs" is not the operative word. I posted earlier that this was all about my shallow desire to preserve her fluffy gorgeousness... http://www.petconnection.com/blog/2009/10/14/yet-more-tales/

The scene I'm thinking of: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/7d/%D0%9E%D1%85%D0%BE%D1%82%D0%B0_%D0%BD%D0%B0_%D0%B2%D0%BE%D0%BB%D0%BA%D0%B0.jpg

The URL is the Cyrillic alphabet.

Love the raincoat and such a sweet looking dog to go with it. I have a winter coat handmedown from a Grey but as yet no raincoat. My dogs don't like the rain much, the short coated ones, but the G. Pyre they simply don't know its raining.

Very stylish - and slimming, too! Can I get one to decrease my Alfred Hitchcockian profile a bit?

Thanks for not gumming up teh internets with all that other important stuff. I am sure someone will get to it someday.

Please order mine in chartreuse corduroy with a pink ruffle and little sparkly bangles on it - me love sparkle!

Gina Spadafori

I don't mean to second-guess, but ... I think I would have gone with a primary color. Maybe a hunter green or Russian red.

This seems a little, well, practical.

Christie Keith

Black is chic.

Hey, Minna has the very same coat! HoundTogs English Style Coat, right? We've had it for many years (I think we got it in 2000?) and it's just wonderful -- still looks practically new. Is she making the giant breed ones again? When I purchased Minna's, she had stopped making them or had just one giant sized prototype or something like that (it wasn't on her website) and we got that one. Minna has the same color. She really loves wearing hers, even though it's a little too small -- the Velcro straps don't close, so we added custom attachments to extend the strap length. She’s a tiny Great Dane and built a lot like a Greyhound, so it still works for her – these would never in fit Ben, even with extensions (but he likes the rain and isn’t in need of clothing like she is). Enjoy! Kyrie looks just smashing! I notice Minna feels more secure and confident in her clothing, too – which is nice. She also has a cable knit wool sweater for around the house in the winter, which I had to cut the arm openings up to make them bigger and it’s not a perfect fit, but she’s happy.

If something besides a raincoat is the needed, check out this Pacific Northwest company called DogGoneChic. They make stretchy body-suits as well as outerwear.
