Amber

I just kinda stumbled on your blog.

I am very sorry to hear about your mom. I bet sleeping is the best thing ever to her right now.

Not sure what else to say, I really hope she recovers quickly and I'll keep your family in my thoughts.

Red

Sigh.

I remember us saying that even with the events of the election last year, we were glad that 2008 was over. I'd give anything to have 2008 back right about now. Seriously.

Life is sucking in a major way, and it's not letting up anytime soon.

Was it your uncle...Howard? Is that his name, the one I met? He's so sweet! He should have whacked them with his cane.

Arlene

Been there, so I know how you feel! My thoughts are with you and your mom. All I can say is that your mom raised a good daughter, one who knows how and when to speak up and out!

Travis

((((Christie))))

SusanO

Oh, Christie - my thoughts are with you.

When things have settled down a bit, please consider forwarding your story to the hospital's ombudsman. The more they know about their customers' ER experiences the more they can advocate for change. I'm sorry your mom had to go thru that.

Best wishes to you and your family.

Kristen

I'm so sorry for what your mom, as well as you and the rest of your family, are going through. I'm so glad you are available to be there for her. Thinking good thoughts for you all.

Shari

Oh Christie; I read, and I wept. For you, for her, and for all the horror of the way things are.

So I think of you all, and the candle burns.

EmilyS

may you and your mom find peace in the ways you need.

Mary Ann Rose

Christie--I am so sorry. It sounds like your mother has had every cancer complication she could possibly have. I second the idea that when you have time, write to the hospital's patient care advocate, or better yet, just write to the CEO. YOu might also want to tip off someone in marketing/publicity to read your blog. At least that will get their attention. Again, I am so sorry.

Debra

I am up crying because my child is hurt from a jerk who broke up with her 2 wks before her 18th birthday. Now I am crying for you and your mom. God it is so much easier to be hurt than have those you love hurt. ((((hugs)))

NA

I am sorry, you are loved,

Clea Simon

Hey - I so totally empathize. My mom is in rehab right now following an infection (she's 84 w/ mild dementia) and I know how exhausted you (and your mom) must be. I have never been so completely convinced that we need healthcare reform. People are great, but when the systems don't work, the kindness of strangers (even those who bring you chairs when you're "not supposed to have them" ARGH) doesn't quite fill in the gap.

Best of luck to you and your mom.

Ginger

I just don't know what to say. It just seems like life is determined to dump on you right now. Give Kathy my love and you both are in my prayers. I wish I were closer so I could help but as NA said - know that you are loved.
Ginger

Cheryl

My prayers are with Kathy and the whole family for an easier day.

I'm so sorry Christie. Holding you and your mom in my thoughts.

words seem so inadequate to offer but silence during your time of struggle seems cruel. your ability to share your challenges, problems and day to day issues offers a beacon to many of us who ... in time ... will be where you are. thank you for lighting the way w/ your words.

all the best for your mom & you. healing blessings are being sent your way daily.
