5:15 AM, wake up, get dressed, walk dogs.
5:45 AM, make tea and scrambled eggs
6:00 AM, talk to friend back east who is doing Voter Protection for the Obama Campaign. Says they've already had twice as many voters as they normally get in an entire day at her precinct.
6:45 AM, talk to girlfriend who is on her way to drop off ballots
7:00 AM, start phone banking to Virginia to GOTV for Obama
7:25 AM, feed dogs, then eat some bacon and more tea, go back to phonebanking
8:50 AM, hear from lawyer friend that things finally slowed down at her precinct. She's helped five people vote
9:00 AM, did about four minutes of work stretched out over an hour and a half while also compulsively checking DailyKos, FiveThirtyEight.com, AMERICAblog, Wonkette, and Andrew Sullivan. (Note that I'm no longer checking TPM.)
11:00 AM, watched last night's Colbert Report and realized that hearing Stephen Colbert say "Nation...." is my favorite thing ever. Watched his intro (meh) and then skipped and watched his interview with Andrew Sullivan, which was interesting but not too funny. I hope his show with Jon Stewart tonight will rock. I think it will.
11:12 AM, came here to show you what distracted, insane, disorganized, unfocused nerves, excitement, and anxiety look like prior to going down to do my shift of GOTV for No on Prop 8.
What are you doing today?
Trying to get some work done, in between answering emails and comments. Work is suffering.

Compulsively checking the blogs of more or less like-minded people for reassurance and to distract myself...
And now, wondering how you manage to get up, get dressed and walk the dogs in only 30 minutes.

I've been totally unproductive all day at work because I'm freaking out about this election and I just can't wait to get home, turn on the TV and watch until I fall asleep on the couch!
