Deerhound fun

I judged the deerhound match for the Northern California Deerhound Club on Saturday - it's the first time I judged, and I found it challenging and interesting.

I think the hardest thing for me was clearing my mind of what I "knew" about the individual dogs or their lines, and just looking at the dog as he or she stood and moved in front of me that day. In a breed with such small numbers as ours, it's very hard to not know almost everyone and their dogs.
