Eighty-nine homes lost power in my area yesterday. You won't see it on the news, you won't read about it in the papers, even the local papers, because truthfully? No one gives a shit. I'm sure even you don't.
And I have a generator so it shouldn't have actually affected me, but with everything going on here lately related to selling my house, I guess someone switched something and didn't switch it back, because the generator came on but didn't make the power work in the house. Someone's coming out today to see what they did.
But I was without lights, Internet, TV, my computer... any of the rudiments of human civilization. And since I have a generator, I'm kind of low on things like candles and flashlights and stuff. In other words, I'm a spoiled brat.
So I walked the dogs before it got dark and did a few chores and READ BY CANDLELIGHT and talked on the phone with a few friends, and finally went to sleep.
