Howard Dean was on Jon Stewart last week... bliss for a girl like me. Comedy Central has the clip here.
A few of my own personal highlights:
Stewart: The Democrats have been criticized for not having a spine .... then you came in and now you're being criticized, now it's like hey jeez... that's a lot of spine.
And this:
Dean: They talk about morals but they don't do anything to help the poor. Helping the poor is mentioned over 3,000 times in the bible. I have yet to find one mention of gay marriage in the bible.
And:
Dean: Here the Republicans are going out to all the African-American churches in America, and they won't even renew the Voting Rights Act. Give me a break.
And a little teamwork:
Stewart: Why don't the Democrats do this: Every day say what they Democratic government would have done in that situation.
Dean: I think that's a great idea. Would you like to be the shadow Secretary of State?
Why the "shadow" secretary of state. Jon Stewart should be in the cabinet.
