This is a quote I came across after I had already used Robert Frost's "A liberal man is too broad-minded to take his own side in a quarrel" in an earlier post. I'm not covering any new ground here (thank you, George Lakoff), but I do believe that we need to remind ourselves, frequently, that passion and committment do not mean you have turned your brain off.
