Oh if I had but money enough and time.... how very very much I'd like to go to this upcoming pet food industry gathering in Chicago!
I can only imagine it won't be quite what they had in mind when they planned it.
I'm particularly interested in hearing what Nancy Kerns of Whole Dog Journal has to say in her panel on "the increasingly complex task of choosing the best dog food."
And Sean Delaney, a veterinary nutritionist who runs a company that formulates homemade dog and cat diets, who will be discussing "the downside of today’s highly palatable petfoods—how to keep pets from becoming overweight."
But the highlight will undoubtedly be on Wednesday the 18th:
8:00-9:30 am
General session—executive roundtable: Doug Cahill of Mars Inc., Ladd Hardy of Nutro Products, Marcel Blok of Breakthrough Consulting and Brian Connolly of Castor & Pollux share their insights on the petfood industry today and tomorrow.
I'm sitting here staring at my calendar, wondering if there's a way.... anyone know how to freeze time for a couple of days so I can get enough work done to get away?

I too would love to see how they plan our future and figure out what owners want.
By now they know what we want.

Look for me in the "media and pissed of and skeptical consumer" section.
I am sure you can find a chair.
