    Other Places I Blog

    • Pet Connection
I'm a contributing editor for Universal Press Syndicate's Pet Connection, and I blog there, too, along with New York Times bestelling author Gina Spadafori, Good Morning America vet Dr. Marty Becker, and MSNBC.com's Kim Campbell Thornton.
    • AfterElton.com
I blog there mostly about movies, actors, and TV shows, but sometimes I sneak in some politics.
    • AfterEllen.com
I don't blog here as frequently as at their brother site, AfterElton.com, but they let my inner Warrior Princess run free now and then when I have news to report about Lucy Lawless, Renee O'Connor, or Xena: Warrior Princess.
    • Club Kingsnake
I'm an editor and one of several bloggers who write about music at this Austin-based site.
    • DailyKos
DailyKos, I wish I knew how to quit you.

    Links

    • Pet Connection
The home of Gina's Spadafori's Pet Connection column, for which I'm a contributing editor.
    • RescueNetwork.org
This is a searchable directory of animal rescue groups and shelters, and offers a number of free and useful services to those organizations, as well as to individuals looking for homes for pets, and to post lost/found/missing notices. Staffed by very dedicated volunteers!
    • PetPress.net - The Pet News Engine
Another website where I work. And you can add your citizen journalist two bits to the mix, too - as long as it's about animals.
    • PetHobbyist.com
I'm the Editor and Director of Community Service for this group of websites. In other words, this is what pays for grass-fed organic beef for my dogs.
    • Blogs By Women
A directory of weblogs written by women.
    • Mark Morford
Every time I read something by this guy, I suffer a bitter and poisonous envy at not having written it. Damn you, Mark Morford!
    • Columbia Journalism Review Daily
Real-time media analysis from people who are actually journalists practicing journalism. It's a dying art. Cherish it while you can.

That wasn't cranky or bitchy, Christie, it was merely plain-spoken. It's only cranky if there's sneering, snarling or name-calling. Plain-spoken is good, particularly with those things you find you need to keep repeating. You gotta put the hay down where the goats can get at it.

There, hopefully I'll be sweeter now that I got that out of my system.

ROFL ... now go back to entertainment bloging, please ;) You are in a better mood when you do that ...

LOL! Well, you can bet I won't make the mistake of posting *this* one to the BV list, but it's definitely going in my Christie Keith Keepers folder! Another good one, Christie.

Sorry, KT....I'd rather she do snarky dog blogging than entertaiment blogging. ::grin::

Great article. I can see that people must be bombarding you with help since you've been online a lot longer and also been raising your dogs this way for 20 years!

I know that since I found you, Mary, Gil and Lew, my dogs are a hell of lot healthier and I am learning how to raise them (and me!) holistically, AND finding that middle ground.

    THANKS CHRISTIE!!!

    Gina

Fantastic. Utterly fantastic. And so much more entertaining than "nice Christie's" friendly pet posting.

Re "Ten things" -- Humor. And True. True Humor.

Forget the novel, Christie; write humor.

Your comments echo those imaginary responsive posts I write to those seeking the magic and free internet bullet to problems from the sublime to the ridiculous.

Loved every word; keep 'em coming; you're an insipration and a consolation to the rest of us trying to remind ourselves "it's for the dogs, Stoopid."

I've never commented in a blog before so hopefully you will get this.

I enjoyed reading your comments pertaining to proper care of companion animals. I especially enjoyed your comments about IMOM.org. It's nice to get recognition. It brought a smile to my face.

    Thank you,
